Ham Steak with Peach Picante Sauce
Ingredients
- * 4 Cook's® Bone-in Ham Steak (about 1 pound each)
- * 6 fresh peaches, pealed, chopped (about 4 cups)
- * Dash of ground black pepper
- * Dash of salt
- * 1/8 teaspoon five-spice powder
- * 1 serrano chile, finely chopped (about 1-1/4 teaspoons)
- * 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- * 2 tablespoons peach-flavored liqueur (about 1 ounce)
- * Juice from 1 medium lime (about 3 tablespoons)
- * 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
Preparation
- Combine peaches, onions, lime juice, liqueur, cilantro, chiles, five-spice powder, salt and pepper in medium bowl. Cover.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
- Cook ham according to package directions. Serve with the picante sauce.
