Grilled Ham Steak with Peach Salsa
Description
A fresh fruit salsa of peaches, red onion, brown sugar and lime served over grilled ham steak.
Ingredients
- * 1 Cook′s® Bone-in Thick-Cut Ham Steak (about 2 pounds)
- * 6 medium peaches, peeled, chopped
- * 1 small red onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup)
- * 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- * 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- * 1 tablespoon olive oil
- * 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh mint
- * 1 serrano chile pepper, seeded, finely chopped
- * 1/4 teaspoon salt
- * 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- * Dash five-spice powder
Preparation
- Combine peaches, onions, sugar, lime juice, oil, mint, chile pepper, salt, black pepper and five-spice powder in medium bowl. Let stand at least 30 minutes.
- Spray cold grate of outdoor grill with grilling spray. Prepare grill for medium heat. Grill ham steak according to package directions.
- Place ham on serving platter; top with the peach mixture.
