Glazed Ham with Fruit Sauce

Description
A sweet sauce of apples, oranges and spices makes a perfect complement to spiral sliced ham.

Ingredients
  • * 1 Cook's® Bone-in Spiral Sliced Half Ham (about 9 pounds)

Fruit Sauce
  • * 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • * 2 teaspoons butter
  • * 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • * 1/2 cup orange juice
  • * 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • * 2 small McIntosh or other cooking apples, peeled, finely chopped (about 2 cups)
  • * 1 small navel orange, peeled, finely chopped (about 1 cup)

Preparation
  1. Remove and discard glaze packet from ham or reserve for another use. Prepare and heat ham according to package directions, uncovering and spooning the Fruit Sauce over the ham when 30 minutes of the time remains. If desired, spoon sauce in pan over ham again after 15 minutes.
  2. Fruit Sauce: Place sugar, butter, cinnamon, orange juice and lemon juice in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat; cook 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium. Add apples and oranges. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Carve ham just before serving. Top each serving with some of the reserved Fruit Sauce from bottom of pan.

Notes
Great Substitute: Use Cook's® Bone-in Butt or Shank Portion (or Half Ham). Actual size of ham may vary- adjust time and number of servings accordingly.
