Cook’s Ham Steaks are cut from the center of Cook’s traditional, hickory smoked, whole-muscle hams. The steaks offer a variety of versatile meal solutions with the unmatched quality of a natural muscle bone-in ham. Whether you heat, broil, grill, fry or microwave, Cook’s Ham Steaks are truly perfect for any meal. A Cook's Ham Steak is approximately one pound in weight, while Cook's Thick Cut Ham Steaks are twice as thick, approximately two pounds.

Stovetop
Remove wrapper. Cook steak in a preheated pan at medium setting. Cook approximately 3 minutes each side for Ham Steaks, approximately 8 minutes each side for Thick-Cut Ham Steaks. Cook until product center reaches 160°F. Apply your favorite glaze during the last few minutes of cooking if desired.
Grill/Broil
Remove wrapper. Preheat grill on medium high - broiler on high. Set broiler pan 3 inches from heat. Grill/Broil approximately 3 minutes for Ham Steaks, approximately 6 minutes each side for Thick-Cut Ham Steaks. Grill/Broil until product center eaches 160°F. Apply your favorite glaze during last few minutes of cooking if desired.
Microwave
Remove wrapper. To prevent curling, make several cuts in edge of steak. Place on microwave safe dish and cover with paper towel. In 1000-watt microwave, cook approximately 5 minutes for Ham Steaks, approximately 8½ minutes for Thick-Cut Ham Steaks. Cook until product center reches 160°F. Apply your favorite glaze if desired.
